Carla Goldberg

it's the thrill of the chase of ideas, allowing myself to go down the rabbit hole and arriving finally to a fully formed concept where often I have ended up inventing processes and forms no one else does. The resulting work can be deceptively simple but is often very intricate and involved. I like the contrast in my work between the quiet, the bold and the ethereal.Ripple Effect is a mixed media series of enameled cast balls and free form poured resin on acrylic panel wall sculptures.”

Carla’s latest collection, “Ripple Effect is based on the memory of watching my little girls drop colorful balls into a kiddie pool on the back porch on a hot summer day long ago. It plays with the idea of light and shadow and water in motion recalling childhood memories of summer's cool aqua ease. .”

A California native, Carla currently resides in Connecticut and her work is in collections and exhibits around the world.
